Moose Card & App Support

Members scan supported Moose cards or app credentials at the door, so lodges do not need to issue separate fobs for normal member access.

Officer Portal

Review door access logs, manage member suspensions, invite other officers, handle billing, and request device changes from one account portal.

Officer Workflow

More Than Opening the Door.

Moose Gate is built around the jobs officers actually have to do after the scanner is installed: see who came in, find denied attempts, suspend a member temporarily, add another officer, update billing, and ask for device changes without chasing a pile of notes.

Door Access Logs

Name, member ID, timestamp, granted or denied result, and denial reason when available.

Member Suspensions

Search prior scans or enter a member ID manually, select suspension length, and let the device consume the lodge's suspension file.

Officer Accounts

Invite other officers, transfer the account-owner role, and keep logins tied to the lodge account.

Requests and Support

Request another device, ask for Wi-Fi/config updates, or send a support question from the same place.

The Portal

See the Officer Portal

Every Moose Gate account includes the full officer portal — one secure login for your whole board. Here's what your officers actually see, in light or dark mode.

Simple to Add to Your Existing Door

Moose Gate is designed for lodges that already have an electric door release. Your installer connects the Moose Gate relay as another momentary release path into the existing low-voltage circuit, similar to the button behind the bar.

  • check_circle Works with common electric strikes and maglock releases
  • check_circle Dry-contact relay output for standard low-voltage circuits
  • check_circle Works alongside the existing bar release — no rip-and-replace
Door Release Path

Two Release Paths. One Existing Door.

The existing bar button stays in place. Moose Gate adds a separate relay-controlled momentary release path into the same low-voltage door-control circuit, so a valid scan can unlock the existing electric strike or maglock without replacing the lodge's current release button.

Diagram showing Moose Gate connected in parallel with the existing bar button release path, with optional HDMI splitter and second display

This diagram shows a common low-voltage example. Exact transformer, lock hardware, wiring path, and optional display hardware depend on the lodge's existing door setup or quoted install scope.

Keeps the Bar Button

Staff can still release the door manually from behind the bar while Moose Gate handles member scans.

Uses Low-Voltage Relay Control

Moose Gate ties into the door-control side of the circuit as a dry-contact momentary release path.

Optional Second Display

An HDMI splitter and inside screen can be added separately so staff can view the scan results inside.

Member Credentials

Moose Card and App Support, Without Issuing Another Credential.

Moose Gate is built around scanner hardware for the credentials members already carry: printed Moose cards, QR-style cards, and supported app credentials. The lodge chooses the access rules, and the device applies them at the door.

No live Moose International integration is claimed or required. Moose Gate reads available credential data and applies your lodge's local access rules.

  • Camera at the door. See who’s there before you open it.
  • Two-way intercom. Talk to anyone at the door, right from the bar.
  • BarTab tablet. View the door, talk, and release it from one wireless screen.

Included in the Moose Gate Unit

Scanner, built-in 7-inch screen, controller, custom enclosure, relay/contact output, remote configuration, software updates, access logs, suspension tools, and basic support.

Warranty by Plan

Hardware warranty scales with your plan: 1 year on Basic, 3 years on Standard, and a limited lifetime replacement benefit on Pro (up to two covered units per year, while service is active and the account is in good standing). See full warranty terms.

Not Included Unless Quoted Separately

Electric strikes, maglocks, transformers, the bar buzzer/release button, door wiring, installer labor, HDMI splitters, and any second screen or TV. Recommended accessories can be quoted and shipped separately.

Need the Door Hardware Installed Too?

In select service areas, we can quote a $1,200 low-voltage install package that bundles the Moose Gate hardware setup with an electric strike or similar door-release hardware, transformer, momentary bar button, basic low-voltage wiring, and setup. Your chosen plan's monthly service applies after installation.

This quoted package does not include 120V electrical work, unusual construction, or work outside the quoted scope. Quoted install hardware is planned around a one-year parts warranty and 90-day labor coverage unless your quote says otherwise.

Ask About Installation

Frequently Asked Questions

What if Our Internet Goes Down?

The unit can store the access data it needs locally, so door decisions can continue during an internet outage. When connectivity returns, managed reporting and configuration changes can sync again.

Do We Need to Install Anything?

The Moose Gate unit arrives pre-configured, but connecting it to the door-release circuit is still an installation step. Most lodges already have an electric release button behind the bar, and Moose Gate connects as an additional momentary release path into that existing low-voltage circuit.

What Hardware Is Not Included?

Moose Gate does not include the electric door lock hardware itself, such as a maglock or electric strike. It also does not include the lodge's bar buzzer/release button, a second display or TV, an HDMI splitter, transformers, wiring, or installer labor unless those are quoted separately.

Can You Install the Door Hardware Too?

In select service areas, we can quote a $1,200 low-voltage install package that includes compatible door-release hardware, transformer, bar button, basic low-voltage wiring, and Moose Gate setup. It does not include 120V electrical work or unusual construction outside the quoted scope.

Can We Use Our Existing Membership Cards?

Moose Gate supports Moose card and app-based scanning where the credential provides the data needed for the lodge's local access rules. Exact support depends on the credential data and your lodge's configuration.

What Happens if Hardware Breaks?

Hardware warranty depends on your plan — 1 year on Basic, 3 years on Standard, and a limited lifetime replacement benefit on Pro (up to two covered units per year) while service is active and the account is in good standing. Door hardware, wiring, power issues, misuse, vandalism, water/weather damage, and installer labor are outside the base warranty unless quoted separately. See our full warranty page for details.

Is This Only for Moose Lodges?

We started with Moose lodges, but Moose Gate works for any fraternal organization — Elks, Eagles, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus. Any club or organization that validates membership at the door.

What Happens if We Cancel?

Return the Moose Gate unit within 30 days after cancellation and you are done. If the equipment is not returned, the lodge is billed for the published replacement cost.
