Moose Gate is a product of Culler Digital Media. This page explains the hardware warranty that comes with your Moose Gate service, what it covers, what it does not, and how replacements and returns work.

Coverage

Hardware warranty scales with your plan: Basic includes a 1-year hardware warranty, Standard a 3-year warranty, and Pro a limited lifetime replacement benefit (up to two covered Moose Gate units per year). All warranties apply while service is active and the account is in good standing, when the unit is installed behind a properly rated surge protector.

What's Covered

The warranty covers the Moose Gate hardware included with your tier against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Every Door Unit includes a door strike.

  • The Gate Controller and Door Unit.
  • The door strike shipped with each Door Unit.
  • The Physical Door Button included with Basic.
  • The Chime Unit included with Standard and Pro.
  • The BarTab Unit included with Pro.

What's Not Covered

The following site-specific items are outside the tier warranty unless they are quoted separately:

  • Maglocks and additional electric lock hardware beyond the strike shipped with each Door Unit.
  • A bar buzzer or release button other than the Physical Door Button included with Basic.
  • Transformers.
  • HDMI splitters.
  • Additional screens or TVs.
  • Door wiring.
  • Installer labor.

The warranty also does not cover damage from power issues or surges without proper surge protection, misuse, vandalism, water or weather damage, or modifications.

Quoted Installation Hardware

When Moose Gate quotes and installs door-release hardware as a separate package, that hardware carries a one-year parts warranty and 90-day labor coverage unless your written quote states otherwise. 120V electrical work and any work outside the quoted scope are excluded.

Replacement Units

Covered units are replaced while service is active and the account is in good standing, up to your plan's annual replacement limit, with the failed unit returned. Pro also includes free replacement units when equipment is upgraded; its limited lifetime warranty covers up to two units per year while service is active.
